Eight years in Auxerre colours, an €8m move this summer, and on Saturday a return to the Abbé-Deschamps. L’Équipe’s headline reads “Il a su conquérir le coeur des Auxerrois”: Lassine Sinayoko left only good memories behind. He comes back with the numbers of a striker who has moved up a level.
Top scorer, third in assists
Nine rounds, eight goals: the 26-year-old Mali international leads the Ligue 1 scoring chart. Five assists put him third behind Thauvin (7) and Cásseres (6), and he has been involved in 13 of Paris FC’s 16 goals. Nominated for the UNFP player of the month award for October, alongside Thauvin and Elye Wahi, after a first nomination in September, he is aiming higher: “We have a lot of objectives, dreams and trophies to go after, he said after the 3-1 win over Monaco, quoted by Foot Mercato. This season? If you ask me, it is to be champion and top scorer myself.”
The market is watching, the club says no
Clubs are tracking the file, and a scout has spoken “off the record” of a fee already above €20m. Paris FC’s answer, again via Foot Mercato: “At that price, Sinayoko is going nowhere. It would take much more.” Under contract until 2029, he only leaves when the club decides to sell. This comes from a single outlet; treat it accordingly.
What it changes tonight
Auxerre, 14th on 10 points, shipped five at Strasbourg last weekend (1-5) after four at Rennes in October. The market has followed the form: Paris FC, 4th, have shortened from 2.05 at the open to 1.77 with BetMGM on Saturday morning, a touch over one chance in two. An Auxerre win has drifted from 3.70 to 4.90 with 1xbet.
