In an email sent to supporter groups on Monday morning, the club announced it will leave its away section at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy closed: no tickets will go on sale, the away end will stay empty.<\/p>\n<h2>A club decision, before any ban<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cFollowing the events during the trip to Bruges, I inform you that RC Lens has decided to leave its away section closed at Lille this weekend. There will be no ticket sales for the derby and the away end will remain empty,\u201d wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/rmcsport.bfmtv.com\/football\/ligue-1\/lille-lens-les-supporters-sang-et-or-interdits-de-deplacement-par-leur-propre-club_AV-202610260443.html\">Arnaud Goubelle, the club&#8217;s supporter liaison officer<\/a>, in the email seen by RMC Sport. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footmercato.net\/a8132635377069180662-le-rc-lens-prive-ses-supporteurs-du-derby-face-a-lille\">Foot Mercato<\/a> reports the decision as taken and notes that no prefectural order currently bans Lens fans from travelling. So Foot, relying on La Voix du Nord, still writes in the conditional: no club statement has followed.<\/p>\n<h2>Flares in Bruges, a fine after Prague<\/h2>\n<p>The reason goes back to last Wednesday: in Bruges, in the Champions League, flares lit and then thrown from the Lens away end temporarily interrupted the match, which Lens lost 0-3. The club had already been fined by UEFA after similar incidents in Prague in September. The market leans home, odds as of Monday: Lille at 2.45 with 1xbet, the draw at 3.70 with BetMGM, Lens at 3.00 with 1xbet. At 2.45, the market gives Lille a win two times in five. Recent derby history points the same way: Lille have won four of the last five meetings between the two clubs, including a 3-0 at the Pierre-Mauroy in April. 18+.
