L\u2019\u00e9lection se jouera au 51e Congr\u00e8s ordinaire, le 22 avril 2027 \u00e0 Astana. Arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 la t\u00eate de l\u2019instance en septembre 2016, apr\u00e8s la mise \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart de Michel Platini, le Slov\u00e8ne de 58 ans resterait en fonction jusqu\u2019en 2031.<\/p>\n<p>Le revirement est assum\u00e9. En f\u00e9vrier 2024, Ceferin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/football\/articles\/cmn4ex2y53l8o\">affirmait<\/a> ne pas vouloir se repr\u00e9senter : fatigu\u00e9, disait-il, et convaincu que l\u2019UEFA avait besoin de \u00ab sang frais \u00bb. Dans un communiqu\u00e9 publi\u00e9 ce jeudi, il pr\u00e9sente sa candidature comme la r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 \u00ab la demande unanime des 55 associations nationales \u00bb. \u00ab Nous avons affront\u00e9 des d\u00e9fis extraordinaires ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, et nous les avons affront\u00e9s en une seule \u00e9quipe \u00bb, \u00e9crit-il, estimant qu\u2019il reste \u00ab un travail important \u00bb \u00e0 accomplir.<\/p>\n<h2>Des statuts retouch\u00e9s \u00e0 temps<\/h2>\n<p>Le quatri\u00e8me mandat n\u2019\u00e9tait pas pr\u00e9vu par les r\u00e8gles. Le Congr\u00e8s de Paris, en 2024, a bien limit\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sidence \u00e0 douze ans, mais le premier mandat de Ceferin, celui h\u00e9rit\u00e9 de Platini, a \u00e9t\u00e9 sorti du calcul. Sans cette retouche, aucune candidature n\u2019aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 possible. La F\u00e9d\u00e9ration anglaise s\u2019\u00e9tait oppos\u00e9e au changement, en vain.<\/p>\n<h2>Aucun concurrent, la FIFA en face<\/h2>\n<p>Pour l\u2019instant, aucun opposant ne s\u2019est d\u00e9clar\u00e9, et Kicker estime qu\u2019un candidat face au sortant n\u2019aurait aucune chance. Le vrai enjeu se joue \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 : Gianni Infantino brigue sa r\u00e9\u00e9lection \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidence de la FIFA en mars 2027 \u00e0 Rabat, et l\u2019UEFA a publi\u00e9 un plan de r\u00e9forme en quatorze points, port\u00e9 par 54 f\u00e9d\u00e9rations sur 55, qui r\u00e9clame \u00ab un nouveau leadership \u00bb \u00e0 la t\u00eate de l\u2019instance mondiale. Les Europ\u00e9ens ont jusqu\u2019au 18 novembre pour d\u00e9signer un candidat. L\u2019ancien international suisse Ramon Vega s\u2019est d\u00e9clar\u00e9, sans que sa qualification soit acquise.<\/p>\n<p>Concr\u00e8tement, rien ne bouge \u00e0 la maison UEFA : Ceferin reste aux commandes jusqu\u2019en 2031.
