Lyon rebuild their attack with four men out while Angers come to shut the game down: I take both teams to score, no, at 2.00 with 888Sport, no net edge, minimum stake of 0.25 units.

Lyon have not scored since the 2-1 win at home to Nice on 18 October. Since then: 0-3 at Hoffenheim in the Europa League, 0-2 at Paris Saint-Germain, and an infirmary filling up just as Angers visit the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday. Fifth on fourteen points, Lyon need the win to stay in touch with the top. Fourteenth on eight, Angers need above all to keep shut a defence that finally held for ninety minutes.
The match, scheduled for Saturday, was moved to Sunday at the request of the Rhône prefecture, and the extra recovery day suits a side coming back from two quick away trips. In Paris, Lyon held until the 72nd minute before conceding twice, and Fonseca kept from it a strategically solid performance, the result aside. On Friday, he stood by his calls (“I make the calls”) and said his players were confident ahead of Angers.
An infirmary arriving at the worst moment
Sunday’s teamsheet leaves little to guess:
- Openda (leg), Ouedraogo and Šulc (knees): three missing men from the attacking zone;
- Morton, groin trouble, absent from Friday’s collective training;
- Kango, doubtful, still in concussion protocol;
- for Angers, El Ouazzani, out until the winter break (adductors), taken off in the 28th minute against Lorient.
Two returns complete the sheet: Tagliafico, and Nakamura, back from suspension.
Lyon are on a run of three straight home wins, including Nice (2-1) and Crystal Palace (3-2) in October. Those matches came with the forwards available. Without Openda the finishing changes shape, and the last two outings, no goals, showed what an already weakened attack produces.
Angers tasted a point, they want another one
The SCO scraped a 0-0 against Lorient on 25 October, their first point since 19 September. Before that: 2-5 against Marseille, 1-5 at Brest, ten goals conceded in two matches. The low block that held against Lorient will come out again on Sunday: a team without a win since late September will not come to Lyon to press high. The probable Angers XI is a 5-4-1, Peter alone up front.
Angers barely score against Lyon
Across the last five meetings, Angers have scored once, and four of the five left at least one goalkeeper unbeaten.

The trend lands at the worst moment for the Lyon attack, and it is what guides me.
At 2.00, the market has read this match well
Lyon to win trades at 1.44 with 1xbet in Saturday morning’s reading, a touch over two chances in three. Both teams to score splits the rest: yes at 1.80 with Betway, no at 2.00 with 888Sport, and that no has not moved since the market opened.
I make the no 52%: it wins as soon as one of the two sides fails to score, 0-0 included. At 2.00 the odds promise 50%. Once my probability is blended with the market’s, the edge melts away: the stake calculator falls back on the minimum, 0.25 units, or $25. The market has read this match well; I lean towards a tight game without claiming to have priced it better.
The bet loses if Lyon and Angers both score. A position at minimum stake, on the record in the public record, beats a value invented to round up the stake. 18+. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
