Olimpia Milan – Barcelona: favourites at 1.67 despite five straight EuroLeague defeats
Barcelona win 89-81 at the Forum, ahead after every quarter. My Barcelona +3.5 taken at 1.93 is won: $46.50 net on the public record.

“Manca il gioco di squadra. Per Milano la vedo molto dura.” In this week’s Italian press, Roberto Premier points at a missing team game and a very hard run ahead for Milan. Yet on Thursday at the Unipol Forum it is Milan the market backs, at 1.67 with BetMGM.
Two faces of one team
In the Italian league Milan won 98-82 at Naples on 18 October, after a 106-77 over Treviso on the 11th on their own Forum floor. In the EuroLeague the same team has one win in six rounds: 87-85 against Virtus on 29 September, then five straight defeats, the latest 101-97 in Dubai. The two competitions run side by side and look nothing alike.
Barcelona, two defeats and a sickbay
Aleksander Sekulić’s FC Barcelona, 3-3 in the EuroLeague and tenth, pushed the champions Olympiacos to overtime at the Palau before falling 100-105 on 16 October, then crashed 89-113 on Joventut’s floor in the Spanish league two days later. Two straight defeats for a team that needs away wins to reach the top six.
| Team | Match | Competition | Score |
|---|---|---|---|

| Milan | Naples (18 October) | Serie A | 98-82 |
| Milan | Dubai (round 6) | EuroLeague | 101-97 |

| Barcelona | Joventut (18 October) | Liga Endesa | 89-113 |
By Wednesday evening the round’s injury report had not been filed by either club: the gameday roster will settle it on Thursday. The Catalan sickbay remains the variable of the game: Brizuela, a muscular problem, missed the Spanish league game at the weekend and stays a doubt; Minaya, upgraded from out to questionable before round six, did not make the gameday roster; Makoundou (knee) has not played all season. Nebo and Evbuomwan are back. On the Milan side the squad was complete in round six, and nothing signals an absentee for Thursday.
The bet: Barcelona +3.5 at 1.93
The main line gives Milan 3.5 points. I take the other side: Barcelona +3.5 at 1.93 with 1xbet, 56% my way. Barcelona win or lose by three points or fewer and the bet lands: $46.50 net on a $50 stake. A defeat by four points or more wipes it out.
My read: the price backs Milan’s home floor and the Catalan sickbay more than Milan’s European form, one win in six rounds. Since the open it has barely moved: Milan from 1.65 to 1.67, Barcelona from 2.40 to 2.43; only the total, 174, has readjusted, its over from 1.97 to 1.90. The handicap keeps Barcelona alive in a narrow defeat, without betting on a Brizuela return nobody can promise. 0.5 units, a small edge once the estimates are blended. The bet joins the public record, and the staking method set it at $50. 18+. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
89-81: Barcelona ahead after every quarter
Barca led at the end of each of the four quarters: 23-21, then 44-40 at the break, then 71-64 before the last, and Milan never got back in front. 89-81 at the finish, the quarter-by-quarter detail in the official game center. The club from the Forum takes a sixth straight EuroLeague defeat, one win in seven games; at the other end, the Catalan run of two losses stops, and away from home at that. Barcelona move to 4-3, on the road to the top 6.
My handicap never needed the cushion: Barcelona +3.5, an eight-point win, four and a half points of cover. Taken Wednesday at 1.93, the line stood at 1.91 at tip-off, the market ended on my side. A $46.50 net win on a $50 stake, on the public record.
