Real Madrid vs LDLC ASVEL: a 13.5-point line for a team winning by ten
Real won 111-92: nineteen points of margin, the line demanded 13.5. My ASVEL +13.5 at 1.93 is lost, $25 to the record, minimum stake.

It took Real Madrid two games to respond
Real Madrid opened their EuroLeague season with three defeats: 78-77 in Dubai, 94-84 at Anadolu Efes, 102-98 at Hapoel Tel Aviv. The Spanish press called it an early European crisis under Pedro Martínez, the coach who arrived in July. The answer took two games: 86-76 against Partizan at the Movistar Arena, then 98-89 in Milan on 13 October, their first away win of the season.
Madrid sit at 2-3, with two wins in their legs and a problem against a big line: across five games, they have not won anywhere by more than ten points.
A ten-point ceiling against a 13.5-point line
Two wins, no margin bigger than ten at the final buzzer. Thursday’s line asks for almost fourteen.
| Round | Opponent | Score | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| R1 | Dubai (away) | 78-77 | -1 |
| R2 | Anadolu Efes (away) | 94-84 | -10 |
| R3 | Hapoel Tel Aviv (away) | 102-98 | -4 |
| R4 | Partizan (home) | 86-76 | +10 |
| R5 | Olimpia Milan (away) | 98-89 | +9 |
Then there is Gabriel Deck, out after surgery on his left shoulder for four to five months. The Argentine forward misses Thursday night, and the Madrid rotation has to spread his minutes.
ASVEL: a thin roster, but they stay in games
LDLC ASVEL arrive with the same record, 2-3, and their own evening to digest: an 82-84 home defeat to Red Star, lost on a Chris Jones shot at the buzzer. Their only beating came in Athens, 79-102 at Panathinaikos; elsewhere, Tony Parker’s side have beaten Maccabi (84-74) and won in Paris (98-96).
- Mathis Dossou-Yovo, adductor injury, out until November: the headline signing of the summer.
- TyTy Washington Jr., ankle, is also on the injury list.
- Edwin Jackson remains a doubt.
- Juhann Begarin, signed on 8 October, has come in to cover for Dossou-Yovo.
1.14 on Real Madrid, 7.75 on ASVEL: the market keeps moving
Real Madrid trade at 1.14, ASVEL at 7.75 after opening at 10.50: the market has followed the Madrid revival, and the price on Villeurbanne has lost 26% since the opening. On the main spread line, 13.5 points, both sides sit at 1.93.
My bet: ASVEL stay inside the line
I take ASVEL +13.5 at 1.93 with 1xbet on Thursday night, overtime included. If Villeurbanne win or lose by thirteen points or fewer, the bet pays $23.25 net on a $25 stake; a fourteen-point defeat or worse loses it. I give ASVEL 54% to stay inside the line, against 50% for the price: the edge is thin, and so is the stake, 0.25 units. The Kelly calculator shows the logic behind that sizing.
Madrid remain the logical favourite, at home and on a run. But this line asks for a margin Real Madrid have not produced once this season, against a team that only collapsed in Athens. My results, wins and losses, are on the public record. 18+. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
Nineteen points: Real finally produce the missing margin
Real Madrid won 111-92, nineteen points of margin for thirteen and a half required. The gap Real had produced nowhere in five rounds, ten points at most, arrived on Thursday with their best attack of the season: 111 points, the previous high was 102. In total, 203 points, twenty-eight and a half over the 174.5 line.
My bet said this: Real win, by ten, not by fourteen. Lyon-Villeurbanne had only sunk in Athens, by 23 points; Real matched it at 19, and Panathinaikos remain the only team to have treated them worse. Everything went in on the Madrid side, a third straight win, 3-3; ASVEL slip to 2-4.
ASVEL +13.5 at 1.93 with 1xbet is lost, the minimum stake of $25 to the record. I made ASVEL 54% inside the line, the market 50%: the edge was thin and fell the wrong way. The price closed at 1.91, taken at 1.93, a slight bargain that changes nothing to the result. The line asked for what Real had never done; they did it on the night I took the other side.
