Juventus: Milik injured again, 34 minutes of football since June 2024

Thirty-four minutes: that is all Arkadiusz Milik has played since June 2024, and on Sunday the Juventus striker was injured again. La Gazzetta dello Sport broke the story: a muscle problem, fatigue according to the Italian daily, which rates it not serious but gives no return date. The club has said nothing.

A knee, then nothing

Everything turned on 7 June 2024, on Poland duty against Ukraine. Milik damaged his knee, and three days later the club operated on the medial meniscus of his left knee, a procedure set out in their medical bulletin. The 2024-25 season was a write-off. He returned in March, played his 34 minutes across two appearances, then scored on 11 August in pre-season against Palermo, his first goal after more than two years. Not a minute since that game.

Off the lists, off the pitch

This season Luciano Spalletti made the call: Milik is registered neither in Serie A nor in the Europa League. Two call-ups on the bench in August, then nothing; Randal Kolo Muani and the arrival of Nick Woltemade stand ahead of him in the striking order. Only the Coppa Italia remains, with Sassuolo in the round of 16 in early December, the one competition he is allowed to play.

A contract that runs to June

According to Foot Mercato, this muscle problem is his tenth since he joined Turin from Marseille in the summer of 2022. The outlet counts 118 missed matches and 735 days unavailable, more than two of his four years in Turin, on a contract that expires in June.

For the punter, this moves no price: Milik appears in none of the fixtures we cover, and in no league or European match any more. At 32, the striker Marseille sold to Turin in 2022 has nothing left on his schedule but that December tie, if he is fit.
