Monaco at Lorient: Camara expected to be fit, Dier and Idumbo out

Taken off early in Sofia on Thursday, Lamine Camara has nothing worrying and should start at Lorient on Sunday. Eric Dier and Stanis Idumbo will not travel.

Monaco at Lorient: Camara expected to be fit, Dier and Idumbo out

On Thursday night in Sofia, Lamine Camara came off before the end, and Monaco still beat CSKA 2-1 in the Conference League. On Friday, the scare was over: the Senegalese midfielder “does not ultimately suffer from anything worrying”, reports Foot Mercato, and should line up at Lorient on Sunday, 18 October (4.15pm UK time), on matchday seven of Ligue 1.

Two names miss the trip. Eric Dier, out with a quadriceps injury, is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks according to Foot Mercato, while Stanis Idumbo, nursing a psoas injury, stays behind. L’Équipe’s fitness update carries the same verdict: Camara a priori available, Dier and Idumbo out.

A ground that has already cost Monaco dear

The leaders, on 14 points from six games, arrive at the Stade du Moustoir with a depleted back line: Dier joins the suspended Brunner on the absentee list. Lorient, ninth on 8 points and without the injured Mbamba, have beaten Monaco twice in a row by the same 3-1 scoreline, at home in September 2025 and at the Stade Louis-II in January; the two meetings before that had both ended 2-2. Monaco conceded six goals across those two fixtures alone. Lorient come off a 1-0 win over Paris FC; Monaco drew 2-2 with Toulouse last time out in the league and have not lost in five league matches.

The market has not moved: on the eve of kick-off, Monaco are still priced at 2.10 with 10BET, their opening level. Context, expected line-ups and odds are all in the match preview: the Lorient v Monaco prediction.
