PSG management heard in Kheira Hamraoui harassment investigation

The Paris prosecutor’s office confirms that PSG staff and management were heard in the harassment investigation opened after Kheira Hamraoui filed a complaint against her former club in May 2025. No one has been placed under formal investigation at this stage.

PSG management heard in Kheira Hamraoui harassment investigation

The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed on Tuesday that “several hearings have taken place, including members of staff and the club’s management team” in a preliminary investigation into workplace moral harassment, opened after Kheira Hamraoui’s complaint against her former club. The hearings were voluntary and took place before the summer. PSG, contacted by news agency AFP, declined to comment.

A complaint filed in May 2025

Investigators are examining whether PSG deliberately sidelined Hamraoui after her recovery, in order to push her out, as the player claims. Her complaint was filed in May 2025 against her former club, and the investigation went to the Paris brigade that handles crimes against persons (BRDP).

Hamraoui, 36, left Paris in June 2023 after 44 appearances for the club’s women’s team, according to L’Équipe. She believes the sidelining sent her towards less prestigious leagues: Mexico, then Saudi Arabia, where she played for Al-Shabab in 2024 and then Al-Hilal in 2025.

“The investigation is moving forward”

“My complaint for moral harassment was taken very seriously by the prosecutor’s office. Numerous hearings have taken place within PSG. The investigation is moving forward,” said Pascal Garbarini, the player’s lawyer. He describes his client as “very combative”, with “a warrior’s spirit”, and says she “ardently wants the treatment she suffered to be punished”. No one has been placed under formal investigation at this stage.

A separate case from the Chatou attack

The investigation does not cover the attack on Hamraoui in Chatou, in the Yvelines department, on 4 November 2021, when she was beaten on the legs with iron bars. That case, handled by the Versailles court, has led prosecutors to request a trial against her former team-mate Aminata Diallo, suspected of ordering the attack, and against César Macavala, a sporting adviser to several Parisian players.

In the civil courts, Hamraoui had claimed €3.5 million from the club before the labour tribunal. She lost in December 2025 and has appealed.
