Toulouse v Troyes moved to Sunday, Montpellier v Red Star to Monday, ahead of Saturday’s protests
The Haute-Garonne prefecture has moved Toulouse v Troyes to Sunday 25 October, and the Hérault prefecture has postponed Montpellier v Red Star to Monday 26. Protests are planned across France on Saturday.

The Stadium Municipal will stay quiet on Saturday. Toulouse v Troyes, round eight of Ligue 1 set for 17:15, moves to Sunday 25 October at the same time, “at the request of the Haute-Garonne prefecture and in agreement with Ligue 1+”, according to the statement carried by RMC Sport. No reason is given in it. Fresh protests are planned across France on Saturday, and they will tie up the police.
On Tuesday the Haute-Garonne prefecture had already announced a curfew for the nights from Thursday to Sunday, around the Capitole and in several shopping streets of the city centre. The Toulouse Saturday held two sports fixtures, the football at the Stadium and the Stade Toulousain against Perpignan at Ernest-Wallon at 16:35. The football moves to Sunday.
A second fixture slips, in Ligue 2
Ligue 2 had acted the day before. Montpellier v Red Star, round ten set for Saturday at 14:00, is postponed to Monday 26 October at 20:45 on beIN SPORTS 1: “at the request of the Hérault prefecture and in agreement with the broadcaster beIN Sports”, says the LFP, whose statement is carried by RMC Sport. Montpellier, second, and Red Star, fourth, will share Monday evening with Boulogne v Reims and the Ballon d’Or ceremony. RMC Sport calls it the first professional sports event postponed since the violence of the weekend of 17 October.
A postponed bet is not a cancelled bet
Toulouse v Troyes is a fixture we follow here. Toulouse, eleventh, were due to host a Troyes side sat seventeenth with five league defeats in a row, with the home win at 1.706 with 1xbet in the odds recorded on 17 October. The match is not cancelled, only pushed back a day: a bet already placed either stands for Sunday or comes back into the bankroll, depending on the bookmaker. Saturday’s prices will mean nothing on Sunday.
No other postponement is announced at this stage, and the statements do not name the organisers of the protests. The weekend reshuffles for the bettor: two Saturday fixtures slide to Sunday and Monday, and the odds will follow. 18+. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
