Ligue 1: Lens lose Ismaëlo Ganiou for several weeks after knee surgery
Ismaëlo Ganiou had surgery on his left knee on Friday morning and will be away for several weeks. RC Lens host Paris FC on Saturday evening without their 21-year-old centre-back, and the market has already moved.

“Back in team training on Thursday, Ismaëlo Ganiou felt renewed discomfort in his left knee, which required minor surgery. Operated on successfully this morning, the Lens defender will be away from the pitch for several weeks.” That club statement, released on Friday morning, closes in two sentences an episode that opened in Troyes on Saturday, when his absence at Brugge was still put down to a simple bruise.
Ganiou is 21, born in Lille, and had signed a contract extension in the summer that runs to June 2031. Eight appearances this season, an undisputed starter.
He is the second Lens defender to pick up a knee injury this season, after Maik Nawrocki ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in August. Without Ganiou, Lens lost 0-3 at Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday, and the new head coach Yannick Cahuzac has another back line to rebuild.
Saturday at the Bollaert: the market has already moved
Paris FC, third in Ligue 1, visit the Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Saturday evening to face a Lens side sitting eighth that beat them twice last season (2-1, 5-0). At 1xbet, Lens have drifted from 2.09 at the market open to 2.49 on Friday morning, while Paris FC have shortened from 3.58 to 2.87.
Our match preview, published on Thursday, takes Lens at 2.403 with 1xbet at the minimum stake of 0.25 units: the edge over the market was already too thin to justify more. The price has kept climbing since, and the bet stays as it was. 18+. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
