Lille v Le Havre: Tiago Santos stretchered off in tears, Lille fear for his left knee
Caught by an Amir Richardson tackle in the 22nd minute, the Lille right-back left the pitch on a stretcher, in tears. Two years after an ACL rupture in the same left knee, the concern goes beyond one evening.

Tiago Santos left the Stade Pierre-Mauroy pitch on a stretcher in the 22nd minute of Lille v Le Havre, in tears behind his shirt to the crowd’s applause. The Lille right-back had just gone down holding his left knee after a tackle from Amir Richardson. Maxima Goffi came on in his place; the Le Havre midfielder received no card for the challenge.
Lille, fourth on ten points, led 1-0 against the side bottom of the table, since Dilane Bakwa’s fifth-minute opener. The match is still being played as I write.
The same knee as 2024
At 24, the Portuguese right-back has been through this before: an ACL rupture in his left knee in October 2024. On Saturday evening no diagnosis had come out. The first reports speak of a feared new serious injury, no more than that, and do not even agree on the side: L’Équipe and Foot Mercato write left knee, La Voix du Nord right knee.
What it changes for the bet
Santos had started the game. In my match preview, I took Lille to win at 1.449 with 1xbet, with a minimum stake: against the side bottom of Ligue 1, the favourite left no edge against the market. The bet is living with tonight’s game. If the injury proves serious, Goffi will have to hold that right flank for the coming weeks.
