Spain 3-1 Czechia: Lamine Yamal scores again, Luis de la Fuente hails “a player becoming a legend”
Yamal opened the scoring in the sixth minute against Czechia (3-1), and Luis de la Fuente called him “a player who is becoming a legend”. Spain sit alone on top of Group C with nine points from nine.

The shot starts just outside the box, bends away and drops under the top corner at the far post. Sixth minute at the Nuevo Carlos Tartiere in Oviedo: Lamine Yamal has just put Spain ahead against Czechia. That was more or less all he was asked for. Taken off at half-time, he left the closing of Spain’s third match in eight days to the others, after the 3-2 in England and the 4-1 against Croatia.
The rest belonged to the team. Rodri made it two on 35 minutes, his fifth goal for Spain; Slama pulled one back in the 69th; Krejčí saw red in the 85th and Mikel Merino settled the 3-1 in the 89th. Czechia leave with no point from three games, Spain with nine, alone at the top of Group C.
Luis de la Fuente: “a player becoming a legend”
“He is already a reference at international level, and he is becoming a legendary player,” Luis de la Fuente said after the match, in comments reported by Foot Mercato. Yamal had already scored against England and then Croatia this month; Foot Mercato counts 12 goals in 11 matches for him, club and country combined.
